I haven't done one of these in forever. Let me know in the comments if you like personal posts like this. Just don't be offended if I don't respond because I still don't know how to reply to them. :P
This summer has been the BEST. I live for summer nights around the campfire with close friends, great music, and s'mores. I can't remember the last time I went to bed before 1 am since school has been out. Summer also means more time for late afternoon naps which are definitely needed after so many late nights.
My favorite things to do this summer can be narrowed down to a top three: Dutch Blitz, New Girl, and drawing.
Dutch Blitz is an insanely addictive, card game with a special set of playing cards. You need four people to play so it's a good excuse to call over a few friends for a few games and some pizza. Just be warned, this game will bring out a competitive side in you that you didn't even know you had.

I have also been binge watching New Girl on Netflix. I love sitting down in a comfy chair with a midnight snack and an episode of New Girl before bed. I know your not supposed to use technology before you go to bed, but I need my daily dose of Nick Miller.
Recently, I broke out my sketchbook for the first time since the end of the school year. I find that I do my best artwork in the summer time when there are no due dates or assignments involved. After a few minutes on pinterest (well what was supposed to be a few minutes), I decided to draw one of my favorite actors, Gregory Peck, as Atticus from To Kill A Mockingbird. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I already got it framed to hang on my wall.
As the summer starts to slow down, my family and I are trying to stay busy and out of the house. Last week, my family and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan for some shopping. After hitting a few stores, we decided to explore downtown and get a bite to eat. We finally settled on Zingerman's bake house. The wait was about thirty minutes which is a little long for a sandwich shop, but it was WORTH IT. I encourage you to visit Zingerman's if you ever find yourself in the Ann Arbor area. Don't let a long line stop you. You will thank me later once you have tasted their crusty housemade bread and fudgey brownies.
My sibs and I also got along long enough to take some pretty cute pictures. I think they turned out pretty cute. Photo creds to Mom. I give photography two thumbs up!
On the way home from Michigan, we came across a huge rock with the U of M logo and my last name on it. I took it as a sign. I was already considering University of Michigan as a college option but now I'm almost certain I want to go there. Rocks don't lie.
So tell me....
How has your summer been?
What is your favorite Netflix show?
Have you ever been to Zingerman's?
