Happy Wednesday everyone! Today was filled with delicious foods that I just had to share with you. I started off the day by sleeping in an extra hour. Boy did I need it! After waking up a bit, I went down to the kitchen to whip up a quick breakfast. I toasted a whole wheat english muffin and topped half with my homemade raspberry chia jam and half with Once Again brand lightly sweetned sunbutter. I found a jar in the sale isle at Kroger for 4 dollars. Score! I also love how its lightly sweetned. The last time I bought sunbutter I bought the no-sugar added kind and I could barley eat it because it was so bitter. That being said, the lightly sweetned is still very low in sugar with only about 3 grams. Double Score! I also had some fage greek yogurt with strawberries. After finishing up some homework and studying for my biology test I started to get hungry again. We just went to the grocery store yesterday so the fridge was stocked with tons of fresh veggies. I toasted a pita and topped it with hummus and avocado (literally the best combo ever!) and had it with a side salad made with swiss chard, carrots, snow peas, tomatoes, chicken and more avo and hummus. Simple but satisfying. Next, for an afternoon snack I grabbed a apple pie kind bar from my snack cabinet. Yes, I have my own little cabinet filled with my snack bars, nut butter and other foods. My sister constantly makes fun of me but what can I say? I'm a foodie at heart! I recently picked up a new healthy recipe book from TJ Maxx in the sale isle for 4 dollars. I have just been lucking out in the sale department! My mom made a white bean chicken chili recipe from the new book and it was PERFECT! Everyone in the fam approved. I had my bowl with broccoli and corn tortillas with hummus and avocado. Can you tell I have a little obsession? Dessert was a homemade banana muffin with sunbutter, a honey crisp apple and a few mini go raw carrot cake bites for a little crunch
